Accommodation

Accommodation standards throughout Croatia are of good standard. This is assured through monitoring of registered accommodations by tourist inspectors.
All accommodation offered must be officially registered and display the blue accommodation sign with the number of stars awarded.

Unofficial low cost accommodation can be found and usually offered to arriving tourists at bus and train stations and the ferryports.
Out of the main tourist season it is fairly easy to find accommodation without booking in advance and this can be the best way, particularly if travelling without children.

http://www.croatianlocations.com/ have a good selection of Villas and Apartments available directly from the owners.

  1. Hello all..I would strongly suggest that you stay right outside the city walls, because no one tells you about the many, many steps you may have to climb up and down carrying bags to your accommodations in the old city. There are many rooms and apartments available conveniently located right outside the old walls.

    Thanks,
    Croatian Tourism
